● Cell Phone (Always turned on; she checks it whenever she has a call or a text. Tends to wait until she has free time to reply, however, usually on the train back to Tokyo (1:30 ride))
● Email (Often, due to having to email her professors and fellow students about things.)
● Wisdom Resurrection (A couple hours every weekday; she doesn't get on weekends unless asked to because she uses her weekends to study and do her work/catch up on it.)
● Snail Mail (It all gets thrown in the trash, so don't even bother unless you've got something really special with her.)
Special Notes:
● Attending the University of Tsukuba in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture
● Has a flatmate named Hotaru, an avid otaku

No. [But she asked if he wanted to, and he definitely doesn't want to. He puts his finished plate aside and hugs his knees.]

you better still be there when she gets back. She's gonna get answers and look very expectant about them. ]
no subject
But Mimi's not going to let him until he talks, and he's not going to talk. So sleep's out. He stares at her quietly- if it comes down to stubbornness, he can probably win...]
no subject
You wanted to come over, Silver. [ Her house her rules. She sets her hands on her hips, worrying her lip a little. Her other attempts at talking with him never went too spectacularly, and she doesn't have that high of hopes for this time either, but... ] Tell me what's up. Friends do that with each other.
no subject
My dad's a terrible and evil man.
[Is that good enough?]
no subject
I'm sorry.
[ She'd been happy about his dad thing - as weird as it had sounded at the time - but evidently that's gone down the drain. She doesn't know what else to say, so she just plays with his hair, musing about it -- there's no way he's going to tell her more without prompting (or forcing)... She turns "playing with his hair" into" gently massaging his scalp," wishing - for once - Ludger was here. He seemed to handle this kind of thing with a hell of a lot more tact that she does. ]
Tell me what happened.
no subject
He brought me to his home and showed me a special room full of products from poached animals.

A terrible and evil man... but Silver's turned out pretty good. She should thank that sister of his when she meets her. He's old enough to make his own decisions, and he'll probably agree with her, but she squeezes him tighter and rubs his back. She's commanding in tone, but there's a softness there, too. ] You're not allowed to stay there.
[ And then, less commanding: ] If you want to stay here, I can talk to Hotaru. She didn't really have too much of an issue when we had Penny over, language barriers aside, and you two'd probably get along pretty well.
[ Ludger's still probably a better place, since he does live practically alone - Julius being out and all - but he's here now. He can stay if he wants, even for a little while. ]
no subject
[He can't do it alone, he can't do it now, but he can do it.]
I have to do it.
[Despite the resolve in his words, he still feels small and vulnerable and leans very easily into Mimi's hug. It's nice. It's like getting hugged by big sis, but it's a little different...]
I shouldn't stay here. I'm supposed to be staying with Ludger right now. [But he's been bad and running away and doing his own thing, and he has no one to blame but himself for the trouble he's found himself in.]
no subject
[ She'd felt bad letting him know she hadn't seen him -- oh. She should've told him he came over while Silver was asleep.
She'll get to it.
Mimi lets the hug go on for a little longer, then leans away with her hands set on his shoulders. She's gonna look him right in the eye. ]
Just because he's your dad doesn't mean you have to. [ Especially since the Bondless can't afford to have any actual fights between them -- real fights, not the practice ones they'd done. The thought of fighting each other makes her stomach clench and she grips his shoulders tighter. ] Call the police if you really want to do something, but you're not going to fight him. Especially if he knows what he's doing, like you said.
no subject
Tomorrow. He'll return tomorrow.]
He said he did it because of me. Because I was kidnapped. It's my fault, and I have to be the one to stop it and prove him wrong, or it won't mean anything.
The police are too stupid to do anything.
no subject
[ She's not saying his dad might try to kill him, especially if he went through all that trouble, but -- she finds her phone in her bag and bites her lip, scrolling through her contacts. Ludger, Ludger -- there. ]
It could've been a good enough excuse to start. I mean, how's poaching going to help you find your lost son? [ There's probably more to it - or definitely more to it - but she's busy texting his technical official guardian where he is. Don't worry, she adds as an after thought. ] And by the sounds of it, he doesn't have any plans to stop even though he has found you, so --
[ She drops off there, not really sure how to finish that, but. Yeah. ]
no subject
[He tenses up when Mimi pulls out her phone but doesn't say anything about it. Who is he to get nosy about who she's texting? Just take it easy.]
I want to get strong enough to destroy him and his business. I want to prove him wrong. I want to do it for all the lives of animals he's taken for the sake of lining his pockets.
If I can't even try and do that, I'm better off dead.
no subject
[ She's heard a lot of stupid things. She used to live full-time with her sisters, after all; she used to hang out a lot more with Ludger; Hotaru's her flatmate. She's heard
a lot
of stupid things.
This one absolutely takes the cake, and by a long-shot. Mimi shoves her phone back in her bag, rounding on Silver. ]
You're not better off dead, no matter what you can or can't do. You're twice as important as any of those animals [ she feels like she'll get backlash from that, but it's true ] and it's not worth risking your life over. You've gotta know that.
no subject
[No. Stop, stop the comfort train right there, he is wriggling out of Mimi's arms and standing up.]
You had two sisters, you had friends, you probably even had parents. You never had to worry about having people around you for company.
I had big sis, but I've also had pets. They're kind, gentle, and all they ask for is a little food and respect for their space and needs. And in exchange, they never lie to you, try to control or manipulate you- all they do is love you.
Don't try to act like people are better than that. That's the exact attitude that convinced my dad that it was okay to poach all of those animals in the first place.
no subject
Are you really that stupid?! [ She shouldn't yell - she'll get in trouble, her neighbors will get curious, and she grits her teeth to get it under control. She's no less angry sounding, but she's not shouting, either. ] I can't believe you'd sincerely think that. Your dad's a piece of shit and he probably always has been, if he thought that killing animals for profit was a good idea. No one normal - or good-hearted - would seriously think it's a perfectly all right idea to do that!
And yeah -- people lie. If I'm gonna be honest [ and she usually is, brutally ] then sure they do. They do the other things you said too. But it's not like they just do think for shit and giggles, or just because they can -- there's usually some reason for it!
[ Hopefully. Mimi squeezes her hands into fists, feeling her nails dig into her skin painfully, then crosses her arms; those can get the brunt of her frustration instead. She wouldn't be surprised to find crescents there later with how much it hurts. ]
no subject
That doesn't make us better than them. [He doesn't have the energy to argue. Instead, he feels his frustration to start to well up into tears, but he tries to keep himself composed anyway.]
no subject
[ she can do it, he deserves to hear it ]
Especially to me. And to Ludger, and to your big sister, and probably to half the people we've met and have known for the past two months.
[ Bad circumstances like this always bring people together. It's the way of life. Especially when "circumstances" are "I'm going to trust you not to get me or us killed." ]
no subject
Silver wipes at his face a little bit, then decides that he's going to hug Mimi this time.]
no subject
...So don't go getting yourself killed over something like that, all right? [ She squeezes him again. It's kind of nice hugging someone taller than her. ] At least, don't think about it or worry about it until we can do stuff without potentially dying.
no subject
I know I need to be way stronger and better than I am now to do it. I also know I can't do it alone.
[He's a sacrifice, after all.]
