A restaurant run by Alvin ([personal profile] opportunitycosts) and Fractured Milla Maxwell ([personal profile] descendend). It doesn't specialize in anything in particular, but it's based on the idea that otherworlders can share food from their homes with the Verens population and have a taste of home themselves. The specials are usually these, and they rotate throughout the month. More information can be found here!

Hours: Early lunch through dinner (11am - 8pm); open Prote through Pempte (Monday through Friday)

Appetizers


Cheesy Bread
A bread that's easy to pull apart, but is also incredibly gooey thanks to the mozzarella and brie cheese; it also includes chives, finely diced sun-dried tomatoes, and garlic. Best eaten warm.

Skillet Fries
Potatoes cut up into short strips, fried in a skillet, and seasoned with salt and pepper.

Onion Blossom
An onion cut to resemble a blossoming flower, battered, and fried to make for a crispy treat. Served with a goat's cheese sauce.

Tomato Creme Puff [x]
A small plate of puff pastries filled with tomato-flavored cream cheese cream.

Takoyaki
Fried octopus balls with a spicy mayonnaise dressing squirted on top and a sweet sauce to match; it comes on two skewers with four balls each, for a total of eight takoyaki.

Rose Petal Jam Bites [x]
A sweet and tart jam made with red, red roses; it comes with a tray of crackers, biscuits, and baguette slices to spread it on to your liking.

Dishes


Rice Omelette
A plain omelette over a bed of fried rice mixed with peas, carrots, and onions. There's usually only a squiggle of ketchup across the omelette, but if you ask for something special--like a heart, or someone's name--the chefs'll draw that on instead.

Tomato Omelette
A slightly sweet omelette topped with a chunky tomato sauce.

Croquette Bun
A soft and chewy roll stuffed with thinly sliced cabbage and a halved round of potato, beef, and onion croquette. It comes with a slightly hot sauce to drizzle over it to your liking.

Pork and Apple Sandwich
Roasted pork tenderloin rounds accompanied by lightly grilled green apples and tucked between two toasted slices of baguette, complete with an orange marmalade spread.

Milla's Beef Stew
A savory stew made with roasted beef tenderloin, cooked slowly alongside carrots, leek, onions, potatoes, celery, tomatoes, ginger, and a variety of warm spices for quite possibly the heartiest stew found in Verens. It comes with a side of bread rolls to help you wipe up.

Roasted Rabbit with Herb Mashed Potatoes
A succulent rabbit dish sided with creamy mashed potatoes and seared asparagus.

Sweet-and-Sour Pork Kebabs with Fried Rice
Four skewers with cubed pork tenderloin marinated in a sweet-and-sour sauce, pineapple, and red and green bell peppers; it rests on a bed of fried rice mixed with diced pineapples, peas, onions, and carrots.

Takoyaki Ramen
Ramen served up with octopus balls, parsnips, radish, kale, and leeks in a savory broth.

Vegetarian Options


Croquette Bun
A soft and chewy roll stuffed with thinly sliced cabbage and a halved round of potato, parmesean cheese, carrots and onion croquette. It comes with a light vinaigrette you can drizzle on to your heart's content.

Goat Cheese and Fruit Kebabs
Four skewers of halved strawberries, tangy local goat cheese, and sweet cubed watermelons.

Mushroom Stew
A hearty stew featuring thick, brown mushrooms, cooked carefully alongside carrots, celery, leeks, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, ginger, and herbs like rosemary, thyme, and bay leaf. It comes with a side of baked potato, stuffed with cheese, spinach, onions, and topped off with an egg.

Tomato Soup
A creamy tomato-based soup served in a hollowed out piece of bread and garnished with a little thyme.

Yakisoba
Noodles prepared with thinly-sliced carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, and onions. It's garnished with green onions.

Pasta Margherita
A delicious dish where sweet tomatoes are the star of the show. Their back-up dancers include garlic, basil, and a long, thin pasta.

Dessert


Seasonal Fruit Parfait
A decadent parfait, topped with fruits matching the season.

Ice Cream Sundae (mint, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, white chocolate, caramel; more to be added)
A bowl piled high with three scoops of ice cream, topped off with a single cherry; pick whatever ones catch your fancy.

Peach Pie with Whipped Cream
A delicious pie full of peachy goodness, topped with light and fluffy whipped cream.

Molten Chocolate Cake
A super rich chocolate cake that's runny in the middle, so it all pours out when you cut into it.

A tart herbal tea that tastes a lot like cranberries.

Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea
A warm herbal tea with a firm, crisp finish.
